Valentino

Very few labels are as glamorous as Valentino. This design house is at the centre of glamour on the world fashion stage, and continues to set hearts racing with its coveted Rockstud collection.

Quintessentially Italian fashion house Valentino was founded back in 1960 by the flamboyant and inimitable Valentino Garavani. A star student at art school, he scooped the International Wool Secretariat Awards, which would soon be claimed by both Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld.

Always opulent, Valentino’s collections gained notoriety for their luxe backbone; couture dresses, skirts and trousers were his specialities, becoming the go-to designer for balls and black-tie events. Still as glamorous now as in earlier years, Valentino dresses and other looks are still found on red carpets, as well as at A-List weddings such as those of Jackie O and Jennifer Lopez.

Almost forty years after his debut, the esteemed designer handed the reins over to Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, seeing the brand grow in all departments with a new enchanted, fairytale image. Chiuri has since moved to become Dior’s first ever female creative director, leaving Picciolo as sole head of the label. The brand continues to enchant customers both young and old across the globe, with bags, shoes and clothing selling out again and again.

Exquisite leather bags and accessories punctuate collections filled with glamorous eveningwear and towering heels. Find your new couture crush on BrandAlley for less.
